About the Role 

We are looking for a motivated and detail-focused Assessor to join our compliance team.  You will carry out digital assessments of contractor and worker registrations. 

While your first assessments will relate to projects in Norway, you may also review registrations connected to other projects internationally- including Sweden, Germany and Austria. Whilst the role is primarily remote, but occasional travel to these destinations may be required.  

This is a one-year fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension and the potential to transition into a full-time, permanent role based on client growth and business needs. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Assess and validate worker registrations submitted by contractors and subcontractors. 
  • Review supporting documentation such as IDs, residence permits, A1 certificates, work permits, and payroll/tax records. 
  • Oversight of compliance operations: 
  • Monitoring compliance trends and risks across assessments and sites 
  • Supporting other assessors and auditors with complex, sensitive, or high‑risk cases 
  • Making operational decisions where professional judgement is required 
  • Managing escalations and determining final outcomes when uncertainty exists 
  • Ensuring compliance practices align with regulatory expectations and client requirements 
  • Identify fraudulent, incomplete, or non-compliant submissions and request corrective action. 
  • Maintain accurate assessment records in line with GDPR and client confidentiality requirements. 
  • Support reporting and contribute to audits as part of CEG’s Workforce Compliance services. 

Requirements 

  • Attention to detail: You’re great at spotting irregularities in official documents – this is the most important skill for the role. 
  • Problem-solving: You enjoy figuring things out and finding solutions. 
  • Tech-savvy: Familiarity with workforce registration systems (like Inndex) is a plus, but don’t worry – we’ll provide full training. The key is that you enjoy working with systems and tools. 
  • Interest in learning about: Familiarity with different local labour laws, chain liability, or EU posted worker rules and cross-border compliance is an advantage, but a strong willingness to learn is even more important. 
  • Relevant experience: Experience in compliance, HR administration, payroll, or document verification is a bonus. 
  • Communication skills: Strong written and verbal English skills are required; Norwegian or German is an advantage. 
  • Independent and reliable: You can work securely and efficiently from home, with stable internet access.
